PM Awas Yojana New Beneficiaries List: This is the dream that everyone has of owning their own house, but economically weak people find it difficult to have this dream fulfilled. In order to fulfil this dream, the government has come up with an initiative known as PM Awas Yojana.
According to this scheme, financial support is given to economically weak individuals in both urban and rural regions so that they can construct proper homes for themselves. This government housing scheme has been in effect since April 2016. PMAYG has been developed out of the Indira Awas Yojana scheme, which was introduced in 1985-86.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was established in 2015. The main aim of this programme is “Housing for all". There are two main programmes under it, and these include the following:
Under PMAY Urban and Gramin, the financial assistance is granted to those families that want to construct or purchase houses. This money is transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, and it is known as “direct benefit transfer" (DBT).
Currently, PMAY Urban is in the second phase, and it is named PMAY U 2.0. It will be operated from September 2024 to August 2029. In this phase, the government wants to offer assistance to 1 crore families.
Recently, the list of beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PM Awas New Beneficiary List) has been announced. The new list contains the names of those individuals who are receiving financial aid from the government.
Both the lists of PMAY Urban and PMAY Rural have been created in a fully transparent manner. Thus, everyone who is eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme can receive them. If your name comes in the PM Awas New Beneficiary List, then the money received through this scheme will be credited to your account in instalments.
It is very easy to find out the status of your name in the Beneficiary List via online mode. One can easily know whether he will be able to enjoy the government housing benefits of the affordable housing scheme or not.
