Steps to check for urban housing status:
Step 1: Go to the website pmaymis.gov.in.
Step 2: Click “Track Your Assessment Status” from the homepage.
Step 3:Type your assessment ID or search using your name and phone number.
Step 4:Click on Submit and know if your application has been approved, pending, or rejected.
Alternatively, you may check the status of your application by visiting CSC/your ULB office if you have submitted the application through them.
The process to find out your name in the PM Awas Yojana Beneficiary List 2026 is fairly easy. You can check your name in the beneficiary list according to your state, district, block, village, or panchayat.
The PMAY-G official website will give the beneficiary list of the rural beneficiaries, while the urban beneficiaries can see their beneficiary list on the PMAY Urban website.
Financial aid available under the PMAY programme depends on the rural or urban nature of the area.
Rural areas (PMAY-G): Financial assistance ranging from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh can be provided to the family in order to construct a house. In addition, the families will be eligible for additional loans of up to Rs 70,000 at low-interest rates, if necessary.
Urban areas (PMAY-U 2.0): The beneficiary has the ability to utilize up to Rs 2.5 lakh through the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) program for constructing a house on one’s own land. Under the Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS), families will have the ability to claim up to Rs 1.80 lakh in interest subsidy on their housing loans.
Urban areas (PMAY-U 2.0): The beneficiary has the ability to utilize up to Rs 2.5 lakh through the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) program for constructing a house on one’s own land. What to Do If Your Name Is Missing from the PMAY Beneficiary List?
In some cases, the name will not show even after the application process. This is not always because the application was declined. It may be because of the wrong matching of the document or verification being pending.
Step 1: Firstly, visit the website pmayg.nic.in, which is the official website of PMAY-G. After that, click on the “Report” link from "Awaassoft", as mentioned in the figure below.
Step 2: By clicking on “Report”, a new window will open where there will be an option available in the form of “Beneficiary Details for Verification” in the “Social Audit Reports” section, as per the figure given below.
Step 3: In the following stage, you need to fill in the details required in the “Selection Filters”.
Step 4: Next, click on the “Submit" link. This will display the PMAY-G Beneficiary List.
Step 5: On this webpage, you will get all the details, including Village Name, Registration No., Name of Beneficiary, Father's/Mother's Name, House Allotted Details, Sanction No., Sanctioned Amount, Installment Paid, Release Amount under PMAY-G, and Status of the House.
Step 6: The entire PM Awaas Yojana Gramin Beneficiary List in Excel/PDF format can also be downloaded by clicking on “Download Excel” and “Download PDF”.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is operational in two versions, considering the different requirements of both rural and urban areas.
