The Ganga Expressway is a large-scale project where the construction of a greenfield expressway takes place in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The first stage of the Expressway links Bijauli village in the Meerut District to Judapur Dandu village in the Prayagraj District.
The project was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, on 29th April 2026. With the commencement of this expressway, the time taken to travel from Meerut to Prayagraj becomes only 6-7 hours.
The Ganga Expressway is a project of 594 kilometres of expressway that has been proposed by UPEIDA. The Ganga Expressway links Meerut in Western UP with Prayagraj (Allahabad) in Eastern UP.
Apart from this, the entire investment in the project would amount to approximately ₹36,230 to ₹40,000 crore. Hence, the Ganga Expressway would be the very first expressway ever to be built in just one state and among the longest expressways ever to have been built in India.
The route of this expressway covers 12 districts, which include Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj.

The long-awaited 594-kilometre-long Ganga Expressway has finally been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29, 2026. It is an extensive infrastructural facility that interlinks the various important locations of Uttar Pradesh. The route goes from Meerut to Prayagraj.
