It integrates the NH-709B, NH-307, and NH-344G highways.
This is a six-lane (with an expansion plan for eight lanes) controlled-access highway that stretches for 210 kilometres and has been constructed at a cost of around ₹12,000 crore through four stages by NHAI, with construction starting in December 2021.
Apart from all of the above, this highway will have state-of-the-art road construction, broad lanes, flyovers, tunnels, bridges, and even greenways. The highway will be more connected with important cities and tourist spots like Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Mussoorie.
Two unique features of this project are its 12-kilometre stretch above Rajaji National Park, which is Asia’s largest wildlife corridor, and its 200-meter-long elephant underpasses.

The initial phase of the expressway route will cover an area from Delhi to EPE. This phase consists of building wide roads, elevated highways, and better traffic infrastructure.
