The Lucknow Kanpur Expressway Status is in operational mode for an amount of Rs 4,700 crores. The above amount is assigned for the completion of the entire project, including bridges, tunnels, and overbridges.
The expressway to be constructed would run along a corridor 63 kilometres long. It would cut down 30 minutes on travel time compared to the current travel time, which ranges between 1.5 hours and 3 hours.

Train journey: Another option for making a trip from Lucknow to Kanpur is the train; however, there are 15 trains that move from Lucknow to Kanpur. TEJAS EXP (82501) is the fastest train, and it moves from Lucknow to Kanpur in about 1.10 hours.
